The 6 week dog training course consists of private one on one training that is personalized to both yours and your dogs specific needs. The general way it works is we set up a consistent time to meet once a week for an hour to a hour and half each week for a duration of six weeks. DFDI follows a rubric and outline that we've carefully created however certain cases call for a specialized approach. In the less extreme cases we are very well equipped in training the Puppy Obedience LEVEL 1 & 2 , as well as Adult Dog Obedience LEVEL 1 & 2.

On the other end we do also work with rescue dogs and are very familiar with training in Introducing a new dog to a new home. We believe primarily in positive reinforcement and a slow approach for our training style however we also do adjust our approach according to the dogs we are working with. We will NEVER try anything without first talking to the owner in regards to their comfort. In regards to E-COLLAR training, this is usually never recommended by us here at DFDI, although we are trained in how to use these types of tools appropriately in the event an owner is interested in that type of training.
Manners for Mutts
Manners for Mutts is Designed for all dogs of every age, size, and breed. The focus is introducing and practicing basic obedience in an environment where its often times hard to control our dogs. We do this in a group setting that's out door and completely ON LEASH. Its great for both dogs and their owners who need help building confidence on the leash and who may need to become less anxious. We try and focus on a different topic each week and this is in the presence of two dog trainers! Both trainers conduct the class and are able to walk around and give personalized detailed help for your specific needs. We hold the Manners for Mutts at a private location but if interested in checking it out please contact us by phone or email! ALSO CHECK OUT our INSTAGRAM! It is a large open field that is a dog park type setting and has loads of space for your dogs to run and play safely. This event is held every Sunday from 3:00pm- 4:00pm and is 25$ per dog!
